Joseph Schneider was born in 1983 in St. Paul, Minnesota. His mother's name is Theresa Rohkohl. His father, Stephen (Steve) Schneider, works in aerospace engineering. He has a younger brother, Mark Schneider, and a younger sister Gina Marie Schneider. Joseph attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he intended to major in finance. He occasionally acted in student plays and performed improvisation at ComedySportz. He left college early and returned to Minnesota to sell real estate. However, he hated his job and, whenever possible, continued performing in various theater and improvisation productions. When his home was unexpectedly burned down by an irresponsible, pot-smoking tenant, Joseph took it as a sign. He sold whatever had not been lost in the fire, packed his car, and immediately moved to Los Angeles, CA.
