Was born on the same date (November 21) and in the same town as National Baseball Hall-of-Famer Stan Musial. Selected No.1 overall by the Seattle Mariners in 1987. More than 1 million Ken Griffey Jr. chocolate bars were sold after their introduction in 1989. Became part of the first father/son duo to appear in the same lineup on August 31, 1990. Recorded the song "The Way I Swing" with rapper Kid Sensation in the early '90s. Appeared as himself in the baseball-themed movies Little Big League (1994) and Summer Catch (2001). While playing in Seattle, had his own column in the Seattle Post Intelligencer, "Ask Junior." Won the National League's Comeback Player of the Year award in 2005.
