Rugged, handsome star of action and adventure movies who was among the first performers to be billed by name. Baggot later turned to directing, most impressively with "Tumbleweeds" (1925), starring cowboy star William S. Hart. He helmed his last film in 1928 and two years later resumed his acting career as a character player.
