  • Took a year off of college and worked with his father in an Alaskan oil field. Released his first single in 1983 titled "Baby, When Your Heart Breaks Down." Joined Ronnie Dunn in 1990 to form Brooks & Dunn. Began hosting American Country Countdown, the country version of the American Top 40, in 2006. Took his first USO tour to Iraq and Kuwait in 2008. Began to pursue acting following the disbanding of Brooks & Dunn and landed a big-screen role in 2012's Thriftstore Cowboy. Co-founded the production company Team Two Entertainment in 2012 and served as executive producer of the company's first film, Saving Santa. Is part-owner of Arrington Vineyards winery in Tennessee.
