Klaus Pohl was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Pohl appeared in such films as "Die Frau im Mond" (1929), the Rudolf Klein-Rogge crime feature "Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse" (1933) and "Der Sturz" (1978). He also appeared in "Die Ortliebschen Frauen" (1979). He kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in the drama "Domino" (1984) with Katharina Thalbach, the comedy "Der Kleine Staatsanwalt" (1986) with Hark Bohm and the drama "Welcome to Germany" (1988) with Tony Curtis. Recently, Pohl wrote "Otomo" (2001) with Isaach DeBankolé and the Josef Bierbichler dramatic biopic "The Farewell" (2002). In addition to his writing, Pohl also appeared in the Hans Diehl drama "The Stranger in Me" (2008). Most recently, Pohl acted in "Hannah Arendt" (2013).
