Born on January 23, 1983, Le'Andria Johnson is an American gospel singer from Palatka, Florida. The daughter of a preacher, Johnson had sung in front of her father's congregation since she was 2. While Johnson was struggling with some personal hardships, a friend convinced her to audition for the TV show "Sunday Best" and was selected to be a contestant. On June 20, 2010, Johnson was crowned the winner at the end of the show's third season. She was awarded a national recording contract, a new car and a cash prize courtesy of Degree Nature Effects. A debut seven-song EP, "The Awakening of Le'Andria Johnson," was released in 2011, followed by a second seven-song EP, "The Evolution of Le'Andria Johnson," in 2012. In 2015, Le'Andria Johnson appeared on the Oxygen reality TV series "Preachers of Atlanta."
