The stuttering, bucktoothed member of the radio comedy team of Oscar and Elmer, Lou Fulton provided the comedic relief in the 1937 Republic serial The Painted Stallion, in which his supposedly laugh-provoking problems with a burro managed to bring the action to a screeching halt. The duo also appeared in Dick Tracy (1937) but was mercifully edited out in the later feature version of the serial.
