A pretty stock company ingenue from Texas, blonde Lucille Powers had played a society debutante in Clara Bow's Three Weekends (1928) and was Phillips Holmes' love interest in Man to Man (1930). Going from Paramount to MGM to Warner Bros., Powers ended up in B-Westerns, co-starring with Ken Maynard and Tom Mix in two of their lesser vehicles. She left films after starring in the obscure The Mystic Hour (1933).
