Luis Jose Lopez
Lopez just completed work on four independent feature films including "Sexina: Popstar P.I." (official selection of the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival) alongside the veteran actor 'Adam West', "Playball"( With Marlene Favela), "The Sno Cone Stand, Inc." (With Morgan Fairchild and Tony Sirico) and as musician Willie Colon in "The Singer" based on the life of Hector Lavoe. Additionally, he is set to star in the upcoming features "The Mouth of the Wolf" and "Margarita De Los Milagros" (Dominican Republic). Television audiences might recognize him as "Georgio" the character he played opposite Theresa Russell in the FOX Network series "American Heiress" last season. Up to until landing his role on the primetime telenovela, Lopez' name was music to the ears of fans tuning in to watch him host VIVA AMERICA on BET Jazz Channel's every Saturday evening. The popular entertainment show ran for four seasons and reached over 25 million households. Born in the Dominican Republic, Lopez grew up in New York City where he discovered his passion for performing. He got an early start as a dancer and singer with three bands including Eureka (Polygram Records), Kazamba and La Ola. After his final tour, Lopez started taking acting classes at the famed Puerto Rican Traveling Theater. On his first audition, he landed a small role on the CBS series show "Now and Again" with John Goodman. Other credits include "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights", "The Bedford Diaries," and "Center Stage".
