James Michael Goetz is originally from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He is of German and Cherokee Indian descent and is a relative of film producer William Goetz 1899-1969. Michael Goetz was described by a reviewer in the LA Weekly as an..."interesting blend of leading man meets character actor. And yes, he can even sing!" He tends to play a variety of roles -- comedy and drama, American and European. Michael was the outrageous character, Francois, a French Musical Producer, in a short-lived sitcom "Beachwood Girls," which aired only in the Philippines. On stage, he tends to play a variety of troubled characters. In the Philip Ridley play, "The Fastest Clock in the Universe," Michael played the role of, Cougar Glass, a troubled and mischievous working class Brit. Several times Michael has played the role of another troubled Englishman, Scrooge, in the classic musical version of "A Christmas Carol." For two and a half years, Michael's voice was heard narrating the ubiquitous Re/Max Realty ads on TV and Radio. Behind the scenes, he is an avid car collector, restorer, and tinkerer. He also started a small grass-roots environmental organization in Los Angeles called Conservatives For Conservation. In 2004, Michael started a jazz/lounge style quartet and installed himself as the lead singer, now playing gigs in Los Angeles area.
