Born on the island of Malta and raised in Toronto, Anthony J. Mifsud or "Mif" as he has become professionally known in entertainment circles in Canada, is a genuine renaissance man whose multi-faceted talents are as evident as his various achievements. Mif's first claim to fame came as the dynamic front man and award-winning vocalist for the internationally renowned Canadian musical group and recording artists, Slash Puppet (1989-1995). As an integral member of the popular rock band he was able to hone his skills and confidence as a performer enabling him to become an accomplished and legitimate force on the Canadian music scene. A bona fide and truly versatile entertainer, Mif is also an accomplished actor (1995-present) who has appeared both nationally and internationally in numerous film and television productions. Cast alongside some of the biggest names in show business, his film credits include such films as Foolproof, Eye See You, Detention, Direct Action, Robocop (Prime Directives), Dirty Works, The Stupids and Gossip. On television, he has notable guest appearances in episodes such as Queer As Folk, Due South, Psi Factor, John Woo's Once A Thief, FX: The Series and Relic Hunter. He also possesses several commercial credits, as well as several made for television films and movie of the week credits, both in Canada and the United States. Furthermore, as an experienced broadcaster and narrator his voice has been heard on several radio and television network programs and commercial spots across the country, as well as internationally, pitching products for such sponsors as Sony, Ford, Molson's, Labatt's, General Motors, Dodge-Chrysler, Canada Post and Kellog. Writing credits include several local sports publications, as well as such national magazines as Fresh, Canadian Musician, M.E.A.T., Inside Soccer and The Soccer News.
