Ralph Small was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Small had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the horror film "Blue Monkey" (1987) with Steve Railsback, the Dabney Coleman drama "Where the Heart Is" (1990) and the Michael J. Fox comedy "Life With Mikey" (1993). He also appeared in the crime picture "Sugartime" (1995) with John Turturro. He also was featured in the miniseries "Love and Hate: A Marriage Made in Hell" (1989-1990). He also appeared in the TV movie "Hot Paint" (CBS, 1987-88). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Thanks of a Grateful Nation" (1997-98). He also starred in the TV movies "Jack Reed: Death and Vengeance" (1996-97), "Melanie Darrow" (USA, 1996-97) and "Talk to Me" (ABC, 1996-97). He also appeared in "I'll Be Home For Christmas" (CBS, 1997-98) and "Judgment Day: The Ellie Nesler Story" (USA, 1998-99). He also appeared in the Ed Harris dramatic adaptation "The Third Miracle" (1999). He also was featured in the TV movies "My Father's Shadow: The Sam Sheppard Story" (1998-99), "The Familiar Stranger" (Lifetime, 2000-01) and "Robert B. Parker's Stone Cold" (CBS, 2004).
