Writer and producer R.J. Stewart has a way with female-centric adventure shows, as evinced by his work on "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "Cleopatra 2525." Stewart began his show-business career in the early 1980s penning episodes of the popular detective series "Remington Steele," featuring Pierce Brosnan. After creating the short-lived sitcom "Man of the People" (starring James Garner as a politician), Stewart wrote the feature comedies "And God Created Woman" and "Major League II." In '95, he joined the writing team of "Xena: Warrior Princess" and also became an executive producer on the hit fantasy show, remaining involved throughout its entire six-season run. In 2000, Stewart collaborated with "Xena" co-creator Rob Tapert to unveil "Cleopatra 2525," another female-driven action series, this time set in the future. The show lasted only two seasons, and Stewart went on to write the script for the Hollywood action/adventure movie "The Rundown," starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Seann William Scott.
