Robert Downey Jr.

Lowest Rated: 0% Johnny Be Good (1988)
Birthday: Apr 4, 1965
Birthplace: New York, New York
Was exposed to drugs from the age of eight by his father and suffered chronic alcohol and drug abuse issues throughout his life. Dropped out of secondary school to purse an acting career. Won the title role of Chaplin over Dustin Hoffman, Billy Crystal and Robin Williams. In the early 1990s, he formed a close friendship with the actor, Mel Gibson, who supported him through the worst of his drug addiction from 1996 to 2001 and found him work. In 1996, he was stopped by police after driving naked in his Porsche on Sunset Boulevard and in possession of cocaine, heroin and a .357 Magnum handgun. Emerging from rehab clean and sober in 2003, he began to rebuild his career. Received "Man of the Year" honours from Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals in February 2004. Released debut album, The Futurist, in 2004. Its highlight is a duet with Yes lead singer Jon Anderson on the classic Yes track "Your Move." Son Indio appears in the opening scene of Downey's 2005 film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang as a younger version of Downey's character. Launched the production company Team Downey in 2010, along with his producer wife, Susan. Is a keen student of Wing Chung kung fu.
