Ryf Van Rij was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Rij worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "7 Days" (UPN, 1998-2001), "Duets" (2000) starring Gwyneth Paltrow and "The Sentinel" (UPN, 1995-99). He also contributed to "Unforgettable" with Ray Liotta (1996). He continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "The Chris Isaak Show" (Showtime, 2000-04) and "The Dead Zone" (USA, 2001-07). He also appeared in the Nia Vardalos comedy "Connie and Carla" (2004). He also was featured in the TV movies "Twice Upon a Christmas" (ION Television Network, 2001) and "The Ranch" (Showtime, 2003). Rij most recently worked on "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" (2005) with Laura Linney.
