In 2000, he joined the cast of "Gilmore Girls" as Luke, the love interest of Lorelai Gilmore, played by Lauren Graham, and was featured on the popular comedy/drama series for its entire seven-season run. Outside of "Gilmore Girls," Patterson appeared in the soccer-themed movie "Her Best Move" and starred in the short-lived sitcom "Aliens in America." He also had prominent roles in two installments of the "Saw" horror-movie franchise-"Saw IV" and "Saw V"-and became a regular on the well-received 2010 series "The Event."
