Thomas James Longley was born on 22nd April 1989 in Canterbury, Kent, England. His father, Keith Longley, is a businessman and former chairman of Canterbury City F.C. His mother, Jill, is a reflexologist and writer. Throughout his teens, Thomas appeared in stage plays in and around London, as well as attending music and drama classes. After appearing in multiple productions Thomas was spotted and offered a place at the National Youth Theatre, where he was trained by actors and dramatists including Victoria Gould and Paul Clayton. After graduating, Thomas was cast as Matt in the horror film, Sparrow (2010/I), directed by Shaun Troke.
