Tishuan was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA where he matriculated towards earning his Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Psychology. He then attended the University of California - Los Angeles School of Theater, Film & Television where he received his Master of Fine Arts in Acting.. Tishuan was awarded the 2013 SXSW Breakthrough Performance - Special Jury Recognition for Acting in his star turning lead role as "Nate," a freedman gravedigger for the Federal Union Army, in Chris Eska's "The Retrieval." Scott also plays "Keneiloe," a Ghanaian Guru, in Andrew Bujalski's 2013 Sundance Alfred P. Sloan Award Winner,"Computer Chess" and can be seen in the Lifetime Network TV Movie "Deliverance Creek," as "Moses Washington."
