The third Tyrone Power in a family of actors reaching back to the eighteenth century.Was an usher at the Orpheum Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio, when he was 16.After graduating high school, joined his father to learn about acting.Moved to Hollywood in 1936.Served in the Marine Corps during World War II.In 1948, was awarded an honorary degree in the Arts from the University of Tampa.
