Actress and writer Virginie Efira got her start on Belgian television, hosting a kid's show on the Club RTL channel and then appearing as a presenter on the Belgian version of "Star Academy," a reality competition series similar to "The X-Factor." She then moved over to be a weather person on the French channel M6, where she became one of the main faces of the network. This opened the doors for her to become the presenter of various other shows before the film industry came around. Efira moved to the big screen by taking the role of Dr. Liz Wilson in the French version of "Garfield: The Movie" (2004), followed by a voiceover role as Piper in the French version of "Robots" (2005). Her offers steadily improved, however, and soon she was starring in successful films like the romantic comedies "L'amour, c'est mieux à deux"(2010) and "La chance de ma vie" (2011). She was nominated for a Magritte for Best Supporting Actress and won an Audience Award for her role in the black comedy "Kill Me Please" (2010), and also appeared in the Isabelle Huppert vehicle "My Worst Nightmare" (2011) and the sports drama "Turning Tide" (2013). She returned to her successful string of romantic comedies with "It Boy" (2013).
