DeVaull went on to play scores of supporting roles in serials and action-melodramas, often cast as butlers, doctors, or clergymen. His screen career, which included playing Napoleon Bonaparte in a low-budget comedy, Tea: With a Kick (1923), produced and written by Victor Halperin, ended in 1927.
