Biography:
After many years of exploring different eras and genres for my creative output, I today find myself in a wonderful place.I feel like I know who I am, what I like, and what I want to do when I grow up.Better late than never! I appreciate my relationship(s) with my partner and family, enjoy the entertainment from my formative years, and want to write about and share these topics.I was Senior Movie Critic and Managing Editor of Downright Creepy.com before it expanded its content to include more than just the horror genre as Boom Howdy.com.I continue my role as Senior Movie Critic under the "new" (2014) banner, which provided enough of a publishing history for me to gain membership in the Kansas City Film Critics Circle. I also write for the We Belong Dead group in the UK. I'm regularly published in We Belong Dead magazine and have contributed to Unsung Horrors, Son of Unsung Horrors and A Celebration of Peter Cushing.

4/5 86% The Nightingale (2019) Parts of The Nightingale are extremely difficult to watch and, although it's not a horror movie, it has moments of pure terror worse than any found in writer-director Jennifer Kent's debut film, The Babadook (2014). - Enid Buzz EDIT

2.5/5 84% Ad Astra (2019) For a movie that goes from here to Neptune and back, Ad Astra's overall story doesn't really go anywhere for me. - Enid Buzz EDIT

3.5/5 69% Joker (2019) It's hard to say if Joker entertains. It's dark and downbeat. There are good, even great, things about it, but overall it's just a little flat. It's one of those movies you can respect, though it's a little harder to like. - Enid Buzz EDIT

4/5 92% The Lighthouse (2019) The Lighthouse is a movie you can either dissect to find meaning or bathe in the atmosphere. I can't say you'll enjoy it, but you should appreciate it. - Enid Buzz EDIT
