Pretty Lethal (2026) 7/10 EDIT “Though it’s headed straight to streaming, this film is perfect for SXSW, best experienced with a cheering audience ready to see some talented ballerinas show the world what they can do.” – Awards Buzz Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Family Movie (2026) 7/10 EDIT “A fun experiment in family filmmaking that knows just what it wants to be and delivers a reliably entertaining experience for audiences.” – Awards Buzz Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Pizza Movie (2026) 7/10 EDIT “It doesn’t pretend to be anything other than a stoner movie but manages to feel pretty fresh anyway, laying out its expectations clearly and delivering quite well on them.” – Awards Buzz Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Wishful Thinking (2026) 8/10 EDIT “It’s a remarkably creative and free approach to a relationship movie, finding humor in how its characters come to comprehend this power they have and sincere drama in the pain they’re able to cause each other.” – Awards Buzz Mar 13, 2026 Full Review Anima (2026) 8/10 EDIT “Anima tells a story set in a world where digital consciousness uploads are becoming more readily available but uses that merely as the backdrop for a very human, breathing story.” – Awards Buzz Mar 13, 2026 Full Review Seekers of Infinite Love (2026) 8/10 EDIT “Victoria Strouse makes a very funny directorial debut with Seekers of Infinite Love, which proves that family dysfunction and discord can be the perfect recipe for comedy.” – Awards Buzz Mar 13, 2026 Full Review Grind (2026) 7/10 EDIT “It’s an appropriately agonizing ride that isn’t likely to make people want to go back to their own jobs after watching, with the only bit of relief being that what they do can’t be quite as bad as what these characters have to endure. ” – Awards Buzz Mar 13, 2026 Full Review Dead Deer High (2026) 7/10 EDIT “Rochelle’s second feature film is one that speaks to the present moment and a seemingly endless cycle of loss followed by devastation and inaction in a very potent way, through words. Its young cast proves to be its strongest asset.” – Awards Buzz Mar 12, 2026 Full Review Hoppers (2026) 93% 8/10 EDIT “Hoppers is a genuine joy, speaking to all ages with its message of acceptance and understanding, weaving humor and creativity into an engaging story where perseverance and good nature do manage to win out.” – Awards Buzz Mar 2, 2026 Full Review If I Go Will They Miss Me (2026) 96% 8/10 EDIT “This is a beautiful vision of a family sometimes able to connect, with each member charting their own course and trying to figure out what it is that they need.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review Jane Elliott Against the World (2026) 100% 8/10 EDIT “This portrait of someone who very much walks the walk, even in her nineties, is a wonderful inspiration for achieving a new way of thinking that could actually approach something like equality and justice.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review See You When I See You (2026) 71% 7/10 EDIT “Audiences should still find something to connect with even if they identify more with another family member than they do with Aaron in this sensitive and often quite funny depiction of moving slowly and uncomfortably through grief. ” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review The Shitheads (2026) 72% 6/10 EDIT “For those in the market for over-the-top, dumb antics, this film delivers just fine thanks to the efforts of its actors and a general sense of throwing caution to the wind in favor of absolute craziness.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review The Oldest Person in the World (2026) 76% 8/10 EDIT “This exploration of the longevity of life is very worthwhile and sure to provoke a reaction from anyone who watches it as they contemplate their own mortality and what they enjoy most about life.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review Antiheroine (2026) 6/10 EDIT “Hearing from Love, in her own words, is still something positive to behold, and it’s nice to see that she’s finally getting to tell her own story without having to contend with others trying to decide who she is.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review The Brittney Griner Story (2026) 7/10 EDIT “As a primer on this talented star and her most difficult moments, this documentary delivers, offering not just a recap of her harrowing experience but also an optimistic portrait of a star athlete.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review In the Blink of an Eye (2026) 18% 5/10 EDIT “In the Blink of an Eye is adequate entertainment that doesn’t justify its story structure and focus on these three storylines from throughout all time, better as an idea than as a cohesive film.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review Extra Geography (2026) 100% 8/10 EDIT “Manners has made a sweet, delightful film full of personality and wittiness, and she and her two stars are sure to go far after this.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review The Huntress (2026) 100% 8/10 EDIT “Correa’s first feature film is an expertly-crafted portrait of resilience in the face of grim prospects and a hopelessly broken system, captivating, compelling, and propelled by formidable performances from each member of its cast.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review Run Amok (2026) 67% 6/10 EDIT “This one gets points for creativity but gets a bit lost with a muddled execution. There’s much to be discussed here that the film doesn’t entirely manage to unpack.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review Frank & Louis (2026) 92% 8/10 EDIT “Volpe sensitively guides a story that speaks volumes and quietly humanizes its characters, extracting meaning from a place audiences have visited many times in films but never quite like this.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review The Only Living Pickpocket in New York (2026) 100% 8/10 EDIT “This is a stylized love letter to New York City and the one person any resident or visitor would never want to meet but whose story here feels as true and faithful to the famous city as any other.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review When a Witness Recants (2026) 8/10 EDIT “This film is deeply personal and affecting, offering an unflinching and cripplingly honest picture of three people who had so much of their lives stolen from them. ” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review Big Girls Don't Cry (2026) 100% 8/10 EDIT “A strong, smart script is matched by up-and-coming, formidable talent on screen for a gem of a film that’s fun and familiar even for audiences far from its geographical and temporal setting.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review Buddy (2026) 83% 7/10 EDIT “Buddy most certainly is not for everyone, but those willing to laugh at its send-up of children’s TV shows and the horrors that could lurk behind them should have a great time.” – Awards Buzz Jan 29, 2026 Full Review
