Rosalie Kicks
Rosalie Kicks is a filmmaker and writer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Temple University, where she majored in Film and Journalism. During her time at Temple, she was part of the prestigious senior thesis program in which she wrote, directed and produced a short film shot on super 16mm. Additionally, she directed and produced a short documentary focusing on her Uncle, a flea market salesman, that went on to be premiered at the Philadelphia Film Festival. Presently, she serves as the Chief Creative Officer and writer for a quarterly movie zine, MOVIEJAWN. Rosalie provides content each month for the zine ranging from filmmaker interviews to criticism. In addition to writing for the zine, she is also a contributor on Moviejawn.com where she writes reviews of new releases and provides coverage of film festivals such as TIFF and the Philadelphia Film Festival. As a lover of classic cinema, Rosalie also authors dissertations of some of her favorite flicks from the golden age and silent eras. In her spare time, Rosalie enjoys visiting historic cinemas, riding her bike in the city, hanging out with her pups, and going on adventures with her husband Benjamin. She is currently working on a feature screenplay.
