An undisputed masterpiece and perhaps Hollywood's quintessential statement on love and romance, Casablanca has only improved with age, boasting career-defining performances from Bogart and Bergman.

Our Favorite Iconic Scene: Given that Casablanca is one of the most quotable movies of all time, it's ironic that the film's best-known dialogue is frequently misquoted - at no point does anyone entreat Dooley Wilson to "play it again, Sam." Still, the scene with the line's closest approximation sums up the power of this deathless classic. Dropping by Rick's Café Américain, Ilsa Lund (Bergman) prods Sam (Wilson) to play "As Time Goes By"; hearing the song that he told Sam never to play, Rick (Bogart) is initially upset - until he sees Ilsa, and his memories of their affair come flooding back to him.
