Movie Info

In this dark thriller, a New Orleans jazz musician has a disturbing dream that he has stabbed a man in a mirrored room of a mansion. During the crime, he kept hearing a haunting jazz song. He wakes to believe the dream was real as he is covered with cuts and bruises. He then tells his brother-in-law a detective, but the cop pooh-poohs him and advises him to forget about it. On his own the musician begins looking and listening for the strange tunes on Bourbon Street, but it is to no avail. While on a picnic with his wife and brother-in-law, he finds the dream mansion and it is exactly as he saw it. In the mirrored room is a phonograph with a recording of the unforgettable song. Later the detective learns that a murder was indeed committed in that mansion and that the musician is the prime suspect. He investigates further and comes to believe that the hapless musician had been hypnotized by the mansion owner who wanted to cover-up his wife's murder. He soon proves it and the musician's nightmare is finally laid to rest.
