Weak scripting my ass. This is a good movie. Underrated here for some reason, fair rating on imdb though.

This is an exceptional independent film. I am aware of Brian Cox from Deadwood who has a great acting range. I very much believed him in this role, and was heartsick from the premise of the movie. Another Deadwood alum Kim Dickens did a good job for her respective role. Tom Sizemore shines in this and I totally believed his acting. Amanda Plummer and Robert Englund did great as the respective low lass weirdos that they played. The heart and the story are all well told. I felt emotional at the evolving situation and was fundamentally pleased at the ending. This was very much worth my time.

As simple as the story is, it's a bit far-fetched, and the horrific backstory even moreso, but Brian Cox' enthralling performance as he attempts to elicit an apology from a no-good rich kid for the murder of his dog will have audiences wringing their hands in hopes he gets his justice.

An indie drama based on a Jack Ketchum novel; I've seen several of these adaptations, guess I should actually read the books since there is obviously something about them that leads to the movies. This is an average movie. The story is one of justice and truth; it's a bit old-fashioned these days to think the way Ave Ludlow does. There is some tension and a lot of injustice along the way to a gritty, realistic conclusion,

Cox and Sizemore the day. Kyle Gallner as Harold is touching.

Cox pitää leffan pystyssä uskomattomimpien juonenkäänteidenkin aikana.

Tragic story touching on the issues of animal cruelty, bullying, father son relationships and justice for a loved one. Elegantly done, great acting
