Movie Info

A high school senior and his friends invent a time machine so that future generations of students won't have to endure some of the more preventable adolescent pains, only to find that they have inadvertently opened a black hole in the process. Virgil (Jason Dolley) and his pals are determined to make life a little easier for the less popular students in their high school, and in order to make that happen they create a time machine. But strange things can happen when you go messing with the laws of physics, and when Virgil and friends open a black hole they find that turning back the clock can have messy repercussions. Sci-fi and comedy elements combine in a Disney Channel Original Movie that's fun for the entire family.

Audience Reviews for Minutemen

This movie was cheesy and cringy....but was a guilty pleasure. The acting from the main cast was pretty good. Supporting actors....not so much. There were a lot of high-school stereotypes and a lot of unoriginal dialogue. The movie lacked substance, but that is how a majority of DCOM movies end up. As for positives, the idea of time travel isn't original, but the take this movie took on it was: high school seniors using time travel to fix embarrassing moments in their fellow student's lives. In the end, I wouldn't re-watch this movie, but it was an enjoyable one.

The high school setting with some things about stereotypes and some other little developments make this an average DCOM that's a little typical, but with the take of time travel and a good sci-fi, it's above average. (B) (Full review coming soon - with better wording probably)

The movie is not without its ridiculous moments, but I really enjoyed it. Snowsuit guys rule! (First viewing - In my mid-twenties)
