Blind Date has all the ingredients for a successful madcap comedy, but the end results suggest director Blake Edwards has lost his once-reliable touch. Read critic reviews

When bachelor Walter Davis (Bruce Willis) is set up with his sister-in-law's pretty cousin, Nadia Gates (Kim Basinger), a seemingly average blind date turns into a chaotic night on the town. A Blake Edwards comedy from the ground up - which is to say that it's steeped in silent movie comedy tradition - it is never heavy, always light, and not to be taken too seriously. And therein is its crime. But is it a crime not to be taken too seriously? I don't think so. An admirable cast delivers the goods with style.

"Blind Date" is a very funny slapstick comedy starring Bruce Willis as Walter Davis, a hard working guy who needs a date to impress a Japanese client. His brother sets him up with Nadia Gates, (played by Kim Basinger). He gives him one word of warning about Nadia: don't let her get drunk, or she'll lose control. Things seem to be progressing nicely until Nadia's psychotic ex boy-friend David (John Larroquette) shows up hell bent on destroying Willis. Things get even more complicated when despite warnings not to get her drunk, Walter buys her champagne causing a night of slap-stick heavy consequences and Walter finds his whole life crashing down on him.

In Blind Date, Walter Davis(Bruce Willis) goes on an arranged night-out,with Nadia Gates,(Kim Basinger), that starts off well but turns very, very ugly when alcohol gets into the mix. Don't worry though... this is a romantic comedy so you should be able to turn off your brain and watch the silliness unfold until you get to the happy ending. had a few laughs~!
