Movie Info

In Creature, a futuristic space thriller, a crew of scientists arrives on a far, cold planet to examine archaic artifacts of unknown origin. They discover that the German enemies already have a ship there. When they seek their help after a failed landing, they only find the German's bodies, obviously slaughtered by one the archaic creatures. Now the aliens begin pursuing the newly arrived crew. Creature is obviously a low-budget rip-off of Alien but without its thrillers and character development. Klaus Kinski is good as Hans Hofner, but otherwise the cast is lackluster as are the special effects. This average science fiction film will please less-sophisticated viewers.

Okay, the movie wouldn't be much without Kinski, but our German fiend makes up for it.

Audience Reviews for Creature

This movie is a cross between The Thing From Another World and Alien. Actually, in a scene that made me laugh, a character suggests killing the alien in the way they did in The Thing. By the way, the actors are just so-so, Klaus Kinski is the only big name in the cast. The best thing about this movie was the special effects and make up, it's unfortunate they didn't have a great story to support them. Overall the movie is bad, but not it's not one of the worst sci-fi horror movies.

A cheap knock off of Ridley Scott's Alien, I couldn't get into it, despite trying very hard...
