Such a fantastic movie largely in part because of Cher's stunning performance.
he never gets to be with the girl and he never gets to go on his trip hes been waiting for.... a really great movie that you though would have a happy ever after ending but sadly that's not the case. great story, cast, dialogue and direction with a sad ending.
The best inspiring movie ever made!
Have you ever seen someone being left out based on their looks? If so have you ever felt like the way they've been treated you wanted to do something about it? Then this movie is for you. This movie is about a teenager who has a massive deformity and his biker gang mother. They both try to live normal lives as possible under the circumstances of happiness. Directed by Peter Bogdanovich and the main stars of this movie are Sam Elliot who plays as the mother's boyfriend (Gar). Eric Stoltz who plays like the kid who is deformed (Rocky Dennis) and Cher who you may know as the famous singer, but she plays as Rocky's mother (Rusty Dennis). On the other hand, this movie has won an Oscar. Another two wins and seven nominations. In some parts of the movie, it may be a little dull but the movie has a great meaning behind it about just because people look at you different you can still achieve in many ways. This movie may even make you feel poignant and empathy for Rocky because there was one part when the carnival ticket taker says â (not intending to let Rocky ride the bumper cars) You can ride kid, but I can't take the blame for what happens to re here. â This movie is very marvelous, satisfying, powerful, and inspiring. Also, in my opinion, this is one of the best classics you will watch about a kid with a deformity. This can also connect with people in real life that has this problem but no matter how you look you just gotta keep going. In addition to this movie, it relates to other movies like the movie Wonder that's also about a little kid who is deformed. Overall this movie is biography and drama. Its rated PG-13 and for a rating, I would give it a B+.
A great movie. Highly recommend for anyone who hasn’t seen it. Rocky is someone you will never forget.
A touching Drama and love story
Engaging and powerful with mind blowing performances from Cher, Eric Stoltz, Sam Elliott & Dennis Burkley, this film can bring me to tears today like it did 32 years ago. It is a triumph for Bogdanovich.
Moving and extremely well acted true story of a young man with a genetic disorder that causes his face to keep growing. Stoltz gives us a character that is fully realized. His bravery and humanity is inspiring. Cher also shines.
10 out of 10:
Well acted, heartwarming, and funny, Mask truly captures the struggles of a man with deformities.
A really sad movie to watch but an amazing movie
