The penultimate gangster movie.Martin Scorsese's fascination with gangsters is perfect for this story of a man who becomes intoxicated with mob life.

If you were forced to see only one mob movie in your lifetime, this one deserves your consideration.

I like the concept, but I absolutely can't stand Ray Liotta or Joe Pesci. I think if it was cast differently, I would have enjoyed it more.

A great story about the Italian mob in america, about how since you're a kid, they can suck you and transform you in one of them, in a gangster. Great performances, great story, an all time mob movie classic.

Amazing film that stands the test of time. Mobster films don't get much better than this one. Outstanding performances from every leading man and woman. The long shots are spectacular and are almost so amazing that they pull you out of the movie. This movie is a classic for a reason.

Do you know what Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, Gangs of New York, Cape Fear(1991), the Departed, The Aviator and Hugo have in common with Goodfellas?? They were all directed by the Great American Filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Since the early 70's Scorsese has created one masterpiece after another, but none so crafted like 1990's Goodfellas. Perhaps the gold standard for Mobster movies next to the Godfather parts one and two, Goodfellas delevers the goods behind Joe Pesci's iconic Oscar winning performance and Ray Loitta's star making turn. Oh, and there's Robert DeNiro too!! The film follows the life and exploits of former monster turned Informant Henry Hill. From his teenager days to his new found life in exile, where speggitti is ketchup and noodles, Martin Scorsese explores the life of crime and punishment in a visceral and stirring way. Anything this good should be criminal.

The perfect Gangster Movie, Goodfellas makes you wanna live in the era of mobsters from violence to sweet wine and cocaine. Brilliant performances from Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Lorraine Bracco

Imperdible.

Goodfellas is a 'true' picture; unlike some mob movies, it doesn't glorify organized crime, per se, it captures it perfectly on-screen.

The key in the success of Goodfellas is the dialogue. The script is just absolutely amazing. As profane and raw as it is, it really gives you a glimpse of how gangsters actually work and what they actually do. There's no denying the realistic nature of the film and how Scorcese's genius puts this film on the same level as "The Godfather", if not better.

The characters in this movie are captivating. De Niro's calm, collected character is offset by Pesci's loose cannon, loud-mouthed performance. Pesci definitely deserved the Oscar he won for this role, as he plays a character that is sick, as shown by his actions, yet likable all the same. That just shows what a great actor Pesci is.

Liotta gets Henry Hill down perfectly. His performance is one of the best in his whole acting career. He is innocent, yet violent; quiet, yet he has a temper at times; calm, yet crazy; his personality contradicts itself throughout the movie, yet this isn't a bad thing. In fact, it makes his character *that* much more interesting to watch.

Overall, this Oscar Winning, highly acclaimed picture deserves all the hype it gets: it's smart, realistic, and raw. These elements combine to form one of the best Gangster movies ever made. And yes, I think it is even better than "The Godfather".

It has MARTIN SCORSESE seal signed all over it. BRUTAL, VULGAR, VIOLENT, american NIGHTMARE. This is the archtype, an apogee of his cinematic technique. Simply the best movie about street gangster. One of the most memorable scene was The "Funny Guy" scene by Joe Pesci

Se é fã de máfia tens de ver este filme, se és fã de De Niro não o poderás perder. Não existe honra entre ladrões e é sem dúvida um retrato do que se passava realmente por dentro da organização mais famosa do mundo
