Blake- N @PBSAniDom May 25 Raw Nerve is a decent, understated final outing for Glenn Ford, carrying a quiet sense of closure without trying to over-dramatize anything. I first saw it back in 2008 and remember it more for its tone than any big cinematic moments. The performances are solid and restrained, with Ford leaning on experience and presence rather than intensity. There’s a low-key confidence to the way the film unfolds, and it feels very much like a late-career piece that isn’t trying to prove anything. That said, the pacing can feel uneven at times, and some stretches don’t carry quite enough momentum to keep it consistently engaging. It works best if you’re already interested in Ford’s later career rather than expecting a standout thriller. Overall, it’s a modest but respectful film that serves as a fitting final chapter for Glenn Ford. I’d rate it a 5/10—watchable, interesting in context, but not especially memorable on its own.
