About as rich a three-hour epic as one could want from television: complex, challenging and convincing, it has enough emotional power to draw you into its world and enough realism to make you want to stay there.

Audience Reviews for Joseph

Not quite as powerful as I recalled, but still a very well-told and well-acted version of this uplifting story.

This 1995 TV Movie is not only historically accurate but probably one of the best Bible movies I've ever seen. Beautifully produced and nicely acted. The cast is led by Paul Mercurio as Joseph, Ben Kingsley as Potiphar and Martin Landau as Jacob. Perfect for the whole family regardless of your religious beliefs.

(1995 Director: Rogert Young ) One of the better films of ancient Egyptian life & Hebrew legends, Jacob, son of Isaac son of Abraham.....(and NOT Moses!) Paul Mercurio plays the lead...alongside Sir Ben Kingsley..and Martin Landau as his Father (Jacob)...and Lesley Ann Warren (wife of Pottifer) Zapaneth Pinao, Joseph's new name as second in charge of Egypt for storing the grain in conservation for the years of famine.
