Hokey but not unenjoyable made for TV sword and sandal flick. The leads are too contemporary in their attitudes but there is a solid supporting cast lead by the always fine Diana Rigg and Paul Freeman. The sets and costumes are good if not completely accurate. One thing to watch out for, Dennis Hooper is completely miscast and his interpretation of the part is way off base.
Looooooong! Almost three hours, but worth it. This movie was unrated, but it should be rated R. I have not seen such grusome violence as in this film. The sensual scenes were also some of the most erotic without even nudity. It was a fairly accurate portrayal of scripture, though a few minor details were changed and much was added.
Not as accurate as other TNT Bible stories, but still a decent well put together movie. Great cast as well, but it seemed as if Dennis' Hopper's head was to big for his body. Kind of fun to watch.
