The studios first major super hero movie and focuses on a Black super hero and no one cared they just cared it was awesome.
Such a great movie and Wesley Snipes will always be the one true Blade.
This film redefined Marvel films. While it's overlooked, a lot of people believed that X-Men started Marvel success in film but it it all start with Blade. The film has its moments of action, bloody vampire horror and suspense. Wesley Snipes as Blade is phenomenal and proves that he has so much fun playing the badass vampire slayer who is half human-half vampire, having all the strengths of a vampire and none of their weaknesses. Stephen Dorff proves to be quite a good villain as Deacon Frost. Other performances from Kris Kristofferson, N' Bushe Wright and Donal Logue are great and memorable. The action sequences in the film are great, especially at the end. It proves how Snipes is skilled as a martial artist, and as an R Rated superhero film it doesn't hold back on the violence, blood and gore, which is expected in most vampire films. The film is not perfect but it is enjoyable. There are moments where some actors are giving a bad performance, the CGI has dated has 21 years and some moments through the story that make you scratch the back of your head. But if you love 90's action films, Blade is definitely one of them. I'm gonna give Blade a B+.
Blade is a testosterone-filled action horror film that has some great action sequences, sleek style, and buckets of blood, with some great special effects (and some more dated towards the end) and a great physical performance from Snipes, but also suffers from the lack of a cohesive story and, while his physicality works beautifully, a wooden emotional performance from Snipes, making Blade at times a mixed bag, but always a big, fun, dumb late 90's action flick that is sure to entertain the inner twelve-year-old of any action junkie.
this one is a mixed bag for me.
This film helped refine the superhero movie genre with its dark story and ultra violence and it was topped off with the flawless performance of Wesley Snipes. The special effects are a little dated but it'll satisfy a lot of comic book movie fans
this movie has a lot of 90's cheese but over all this movie is bad ass and a movie worth watching
super cool and underrated.
BLOODBATH!!! (PUMP PANEL REMIX)
Awesome comic book movie, which has held up so well after 20 years. Wesley Snipes and Srephen Dorff were both made for these roles and give the movie it's comic book feel.
