Audience Reviews for Point Blank

½

It was 1998 yet the soundtrack was a flashback to the 80s. Stupid sappy rock ballads. There was action mixed with really sappy moments of back story. Shocking that Danny Trejo plays a complete psychopath right? Paul Ben-Victor had me wondering for a while if his character was gay or just pompus, apparently it was both. Although his character was major he wasn't in it alot pretty much all the face time went to Mickey Rourke and he was HUGE. The story would have been better if it was just the action and there was less sappy bs.

Pointless action film, it has absolutely no substance, it just displays a lot of action, gunfire, killing and blood. The characters are all superficial, you don?t care about anyone in the film. The pounding score gives you a headache after awhile. It's unimpressive on most levels. It does move along quickly at least and does has some suspenseful moments. It never satisfies though.
