Audience Reviews for Sitting Bull

Less than impressive filming, this movie is credited by film historians with having it right about the actual battle of the Little Big Horn. Dale Robertson leads as a peacemaking calveryman respected by Sitting Bull and demoted by no less than Gen. Armstrong Custer himself. This film appears as more of a television grade production than anything approaching high grade quality. The usual scenes of calvary orders, fort life, indians speaking decent english... yet the film was interesting and well enough acted. Original Release Date: Oct 2, 1954 Acclaimed as one of the few accurate accounts of the battle of Little Big Horn, this historical western follows a cavalry major (Dale Robertson) who believes the Indians should receive just testament, and tries - to no avail - to prevent Gen. Custer from riding into slaughter. Cast J. An OK Movie, what was best about it was, the battle between Custer and Sitting Bull, arrows were bouncing off the Calvary, Calvary Men falling dead then getting up, loaded with comical mistrakes, This was one of 3 Movies on a disc, Just OK
