Very raunchy, uneven comedy with great actors.

Full-blown 'Jack'--his face a spectacular special effect of full-blown energy--remains an irresistible act. [Blu-Ray]
June 24, 2006
No, it doesn't make much sense, and yes, it's irredeemably phallocentric -- but that is, perhaps, its saving grace.

This film is delightful, funny nonsense that had me laughing out loud.
August 13, 2004
Sometimes even an occasional laugh can be the best medicine.

[Sandler and Nicholson] aren't doing anything we haven't seen from them before, but it's an undeniably fun movie.
November 2, 2003
A better script and more attention to other cast members would have helped but, as it stands, this is still the best Adam Sandler comedy since The Wedding Singer.
September 27, 2003
Check your highbrow at the door, laugh-out-loud funny.
September 16, 2003
Scripted like a series of bouts between goofy contenders, and teeming with narrative sucker-punches and wacky left-field cameos.

Can it really be true that the latest Adam Sandler film is, well, quite funny? Ish? Yes -- but only because he's paired with Jack Nicholson.
June 26, 2003
With free reign to be insane, Jack's at his snaky, screwy best, and Sandler again wisely plays the straight man to his insane supporting characters.
June 24, 2003
... it's an Adam Sandler film, not a Jack Nicholson film... but if "Mr. Deeds" and "The Waterboy" makes you forgive (Sandler) "Little Nicky," you're in for a treat.
June 7, 2003
Nicholson is excellent, hamming it up for all he's worth and clearly having a whale of a time "- he's extremely well cast.
May 28, 2003
By this reviewer's count, there are at least six good chuckles to the dollar.
May 27, 2003
The pairing of Nicholson and Sandler is golden.
April 24, 2003
The plot is a little too thick for a comedy, but the extensive cast of interesting characters, many of them Rydell's anger patients, make it work and the end is definitely worth sticking around for.
April 16, 2003
This is a much-needed shot of happiness and euphoria -- an otherwise mediocre film that hits the spot because this country has been far too serious for far too long.
April 16, 2003
Not a classic comedy by any stretch of the imagination, but certainly one of the few Adam Sandler movies that sent me home feeling good as opposed to feeling...well, angry.
April 16, 2003
Even a longtime Adamophobe has to admit that Sandler is an agreeable presence here, and that the film has some funny filigree work to offset the oppressive schematics.
