Between interjections of, 'isn't that the guy from ... ?,' viewers will be stumped by how colossally stupid this movie is and even more so at how seriously it takes itself.

Simple, mindless, silly sci-fi hoo-hah, but, y'know, not entirely unwatchable.

Audience Reviews for Black Hole

Thin story with empty characters and boring effects. It doesn't hold much interest and the pacing is slow. It ends about the way you would expect, and very little action goes on.

Highly implausible sci-fi yarn about a man-made black hole being used by an energy-eating alien to terrorize St. Louis. The acting is workmanlike - it is no worse than in other Sci-Fi Channel movies. The romance seemed out of place considering the situation, however it was believable. The movie ends as you know it will, even less believably than the story premise. So though not as terrible as it is made out to be by other reviewers, it just requires too much suspension of disbelief to make the story work. I couldn't do it. You wrote this on 10/22/08.
