It starts off like a generic slasher movie condensed to about 15 minutes and then it starts over so that it can go through the motions a second time at regular speed.

Audience Reviews for The Retreat (Silent Scream)

A somewhat decent slasher that tries to get a little meta- and postmodern for its own good, Silent Scream features a classic slasher set-up but fails to deliver on the goods.

It is on the low end slashe film side but the twist is pretty good. I wasn't expecting it. I'm glad to see any kind of originality in slasher films.

Terrible execution of an utterly derivative bottom-of-the-imagination-barrel horror plot: college kids go to snowbound cabin and get picked off one at a time by anonymous killer. Don't waste your time unless you want to see the worst boob job of the 21st century.
