Hah! Actually kinda loved this weird movie :)

Odd little film in which the absurdity and crime drama elements never quite gel. However, the enjoyable performances will carry one through.

Entertaining film with a good combination of comedy and drama with a little dash of romance--Charlie Stadler is no Guy Richie, but this film is not a flop!!

Caper/thriller set in London revolving around Abe, a young locksmith that has switched mobile phones with a very busy hit man. Abe and his stoner friend Salvador travel through the city escaping from the contract killer and from the organization that employs him. Adding pressure to the situation is their angered moneylender, Danny Devine, and Abe's disappointed wife, Mimi. Abe deals with increasingly more challenging situations during this one single day that he will never forget.
There is quite a lot of violence but it is comic, almost cartoon like. It is a dynamic film with continuous changes of locations and landscapes in an always evolving story. It is a shame that the plot is a bit confusing in places and the twists and turns are not always easy to follow, but it is entertaining and fun, so you might not mind very much.
It is a film for the boys, lots of adrenaline and high speed scenes seasoned with a dark sense of humour.

one of those random movies that is epic. It's random and catchy.
This isn't a movie for everyone.... loved it though.

Disjointed movie with no clear purpose that swings into and out of surrealism without warning, but it lets a great cast riff on a string of interesting characters. My family and I never grew bored, and we laughed a lot.

Wants to be in the same league of Lock stock & two smoking barrels and Snatch but it fails miserably, Not even Carlyle & Oldman could save it

Only watched it for Billy Zane.
Movie itself sucked.
Could have used more Zane.

A few funny moments but not to much, a dry script with a very great cast that lacks alot actually and could of been much more. It seems alot of british crime-comedies seem to want to replicate Lock, stock and Snatch. Carlyle is the funniest in the film, Oldman is good, but its like he was held back on adding any other variety to his character. An awful waste of time that bores and fails to satisfy

Me gusto, no es tan buena como Snach o Transpoting, pero vale la pena ver...

Remember how when Pulp Fiction came out, everyone started trying to remake it? To a lesser extent, the same thing happened with Guy Ritchie's early films (Lock Stock and Snatch). While Dead Fish is by no means equal to Ritchie's films, or some of the seminal British crime films of the day, it's never boring nor particularly bad. Some of the characters are grating, but there's enough to like about the cast-Gary Oldman, Billy Zane, Robert Carlyle, Jimi Mistry-to keep this from being a total disaster. My biggest complaint is that the film can't balance black comedy and screwball comedy very well, admittedly a hard act to perform. There are occasional moments where the filmmakers manage to find their footing, but those moments are few and far between, unfortunately.

Low budget and messy plot that is notable for Oldman's performance as a deranged killer with an S&M fetish. Some good actors find themselves with nothing to do and not even slightly intelligent dialogue. Competently shot and directed is about the best you can say for the craft on show. Nothing memorable or that entertaining but bearable to fans of the cast but nothing new to add.

Some funny moments but in big picture this ends out to be flat out. Too impulsive and jokes seems to be made up in the moment. If I mean IF there would have been Quentin backing up for this, this would have been 15% funnier, 17% more action and 12% more drama.

Gary seems to be distracted all the time or his role is a bit lame. Maybe he was out of cash in that time, but he abled to save this from crashing down.

(2005) Dead Fish

Made in the same was as "Snatch" and "Pulp Fiction" involving hired hitman(Gary Oldman) who while doing his thing puts himself in a complicated situation as soon as he hands over the wrong phone after a teenage girl accidently knocks it out of his hand!
