If I really want to watch Attack of the Giant Leeches, then why wouldn't I just watch the original?

Audience Reviews for Attack of the Giant Leeches

With Roger Corman's original Attack of the Giant Leeches, viewers were given a tongue in cheek B-movie that was supposed to be fun popcorn entertainment. With this remake, I feel absolutely ashamed for having spent 3 dollars to rent it. The Attack of the Giant Leeches remake is an unfunny, unoriginal piece of garbage that goes BEYOND bad low-budget filmmaking. Someone in the swamp marsh/lake is found dead with their blood drained. A cop, his American girlfriend, her British scientist dad, her ex-boyfriend/town sheriff must get down to the business of finding out what kind of creature did this. Naturally, more bodies pile up, but those are few and far between the DREADFUL filler of lead boyfriend and girlfriend fighting, then making up, girlfriend and ex-boyfriend fighting, and boyfriend and ex-boyfriend fighting. It was non-stop and horrible. Bad special effects, bad acting, bad everything. I am always trying to find the good in low-budget/low quality films, but this movie is just awful. This film could easily take the prize for worst film of 2009.
