Forgoing nostalgia to play shamelessly to the Radio Disney generation, the upgrade is a gawky misfire, criminally monotonous from start to finish...the chemistry between the two leads seems more incestuous than romantic.

Audience Reviews for Ice Castles (2010)

This movie was semi-interesting...but I feel like it took too long for the climax to happen. The accident does not happen until an hour into the movie.

A good enough remake of the original 1978 movie. No surprises, or anticipations to expect if you had seen the original! However, the skating scenes were way better and more exciting, and the updated musical score was a good enhancement. If you havent seen the original flick, you most likely will be prone to give this a higher rating, as the predictability of the story will not be a factor to your overall enjoyment!

This was a nice, fluffy, overcome-the-odds story, but one I've seen a million times before. It pretty much followed the formula to a science and wasn't quite deep enough to really capture my attention. This wasn't terrible, but I wasn't blown away, either.
