Jack L @RT22102532 10h A very fascinating documentary about an absolutely astonishing physical accomplishment, capturing the sheer scale and determination required to climb all 14 of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks. Some of the shots of these mountains are truly astonishing, and the film does a great job of explaining quite how significant a task this was. The film definitely slows down as it approaches the climax, but that is simply the nature of documenting real life rather than a scripted story. Particularly worth watching following the tragic events on Broad Peak, and for the opportunity to learn more about and appreciate the wonderful Sherpa culture that plays such an integral role in these expeditions. See more David S @RT41868696 2d Dear Nimsdai, even tho I never had the opportunity to meet you you have inspired me not to climb the Himalayas but to push forward and keep achieving the summits of my own personal mountains. Your tragic passing really hit me like a rock. Look you have made Nepal proud and inspired millions! Rest in peace and the mountains will definitely remember your legacy! See more Lachlan D @RT23073812 6d Really amazing to see what humans are capable of See more roy V @Bennachie Apr 25 Nirmal Purja, the main character and driving force in this film is a Nepalese Sherpa who sets out to climb all 14 8000 metre mountains in record time. The scenery is awesome, the story is audacious, and the viewer is kept on the edge of their seat, willing Nirmal and his team to success. Best climbing/mountaineering, life affirming movie out there See more Fallon B. @stopthefkncar Feb 13 I have a ton of respect for people who do this kind of stuff. I'd die from exhaustion, if fear didn't get me first.
