A interesting funny film, that parody the sci-fi movie Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman and to be the only film with Costello without Abbott. 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock, could be entertaining and occasionally make the audience laugh. But, this, sometimes forgotten picture, is not so brilliant like anothers films of the due and not presents great lines, how Who's on First?

It might have been interesting to see if Lou could develop a more adult character in his post-Abbott and Costello career. He's too old for Dorothy Provine and to play the boyish innocent he was so good at in his early films. Lou needed money and probably seeing Jerry Lewis having success without his partner did this ill-concieved sci-fi parody of "Attack of the 50-Foot Woman" and "The Amazing Colossal Man".
Besides Lou being too old for the character, the effects are bad and so is the script. However he at least has some support from the likes of Gale Gordon (playing a banker a few years before he played Mr. Mooney for Lucy), Charles Lane, Doodles Weaver and Peter Leeds.
But Lou never got to see if he could have a second act in show business and died at age 52, shortly after this was filmed.
