At Calipatria State Prison, a band of inmates engages in a theatrical workshop hosted by The Actors' Gang, a theatre troupe spearheaded by actor Tim Robbins. The prisoners negotiate the complex emotions that arise from their incarceration as well as form new relationships with one another that transcend gang loyalties or ethnic divides. Ultimately, wider commentary on personal transformation emerges out of the men's struggles and successes. Directed by Tim Robbins.

Even though we've possibly seen it countless times before, it's still lovely to see prison tough guys slowly open up and through the use of theatrical masks feel comfortable enough to gradually slip off their own.
