5150, Rue des Ormes Reviews
Imagine if that jovial taxi driver that took you to the airport was doing something odd on his spare time. Everyone has had neighbours who keep to themselves just a little too much and you know there's something going on behind closed doors. Part of the weight that this film carries may be because it is filmed in a home that looks like it could be found in any regular Canadian neighbourhood. As a Quebecer, it was even more disturbing for me because the father reminds me of so man people that I've met before.
Great french canadian horror that's smarter and classier than most horror films of late. Marc-Andre Grondin is great in the demanding lead role and there are some truly shocking moments to keep you glued to the screen.
