89 strikes a nice line between sporting bombast and self-deprecating humour. Go to Full Review

A genuinely illuminating football documentary, with something in it for the die-hard Arsenal fan, as well as a wider football supporter. Go to Full Review

Even if you don't follow the Gunners, it's a thoroughly enjoyable film celebrating an era before the Premier League shifted the goalposts. Go to Full Review

Leaburn O 06/12/2023 The lovely thing about this feel good documentary is how it transports is back to the pre Premier League days. It sounds platitudinous to say that the game was more pure back then but actually the bond between the players that you can see remains to this day is probably not going to be repeated again. Without wanting to sound jingoistic, these were a group of young English men who played football and drank together every weekend and then achieved the most remarkable finish to a league season ever and the rapport they've retained is great. The documentary does a good job of showcasing that late 80s atmosphere in society. I really enjoyed this one. See more David M 02/14/2019 A straightforward, but still gripping and emotional (at least for this Arsenal fan) documentary retelling the story of the most dramatic and unlikely race for an English League Championship - against the backdrop of one of the sport's darkest days. Although I'm very familiar with the story, it's still an affecting and entertaining watch, and it's good to hear from many of the Arsenal people involved (and the referee of that last game).
