This was such an early film of the times when sound was experimental and no one knew for sure if it was for entertainment purpose. The collections of these films on DVD are priceless and record of entertainment still used in different forms now in our time. The Plantation is the best in my opinion, I don‚(TM)t know for sure, but ‚~Al Jolson‚(TM) seems to know or take for granted him using celluloid, but knew he captured the audience regardless of what media he will ever use. His magical ability to move in time, when the experiment/film he made might never be seen by many, or how it would be taken, made no difference to ‚~Jolson‚(TM), who just took all he was and never let you forget‚¶. He was important and not the film itself. ‚That‚(TM)s Entertainment‚?
